Ingredients:
▪Plain flour 1 & 1/2 cup
(Maida)
▪unsweetened Cocoa powder 1/2 cup
▪Baking powder 2 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
▪Fresh Orange juice 1 cup (200 ml)
▪Icing sugar 1 & 1/2 cup
▪Eggs 3 pecs (at room temperature)
▪Vanilla essence 1 tsp
▪Oil 1/2 cup (100 ml)
▪Orange zest 1 tsp
▪Hot water 4 tbsp
Choco Orange ganache:-
▪Orange juice 1 cup
▪Sugar 5 tbsp
▪Unsweetened dark chocolate 4 tbsp
▪Milk chocolate 6 tbsp
▪Whipping Cream 1/2 cup
Method:
▪︎sieve the flour,cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and set aside.
▪︎Add eggs and sugar in another bowl .whisk it for 5 to 7 min.
▪︎Add vanilla essence and oil and mix it well.
▪︎Now add fresh orange juice and mix it .
▪︎After that, gradually add flour mixture in it.
Now add grated orange zest and hot water and mix it well.
▪︎Pour the batter into the greased pan with butter paper.Pan size is 9 inch and 23 cm.
▪︎Bake in a preheated oven at 180°c for 35 to 45 mins.
Chocolate orange ganache:-
▪︎Put orange juice and sugar in a pan. cook until orange juice reduces to half on low to medium flame.
▪︎Make double boiler by adding water in steel pan and putting heat resistant glass pan over it. Now add whipping cream to warm them and don’t bring it to boil.
▪︎Add unsweetened dark chocolate & milk chocolate and mix it well.
▪︎Add orange juice mixture in it and mix it well. let it cool down. Now ganache is ready.
▪︎Spread it in to cool cake and decorate with orange slice.
