BHAKRA aka very Famous Parsi Snack




Ingredients:

600 grams wheat flour

300 grams semolina

3 egg

4 green cardamom

150 grams powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg powder

1 cup refined oil

salt as required

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup yogurt (curd)


Method:

  • Take a bowl and combine flour, Semolina (rava), baking powder, green cardamom (powdered), nutmeg powder, salt and mix well. Then add powdered sugar, beaten eggs to the bowl and stir thoroughly.

  • Stir in curd to this mixture in order to make a soft dough. Make a smooth dough and cover the bowl with any cloth or lid. Keep the bowl unattended at room temperature for about 2 hours or so.

  • Now roll the dough and make thick round balls from the dough. Take a kadai and heat oil in it on medium flame. Flatten the balls and fry them until they turn brown. Serve as snacks.
