1) Cooking Chicken:
Take about 500 g chicken, and marinate it in yogurt, chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt, ginger garlic paste, garam masala for about 30 mints. 3 big onions finely chopped. 2 tomato finely chopped.
In a non stick pan put oil and fry the onions till golden brown, add bay leaves, black pepper cons, cardamom, cumin, cinnamon stick and green chillies. saute for a while then add ginger garlic paste and tomatoes and again saute for 10 mints on low flame. add very little water to make a paste like consistency and again saute everything for about 10 15 Mint. then add the marinated chicken and coat with all the masala then add 1 cup water not too much. cover it with a lid and let it simmer for about 20 25 minutes. chicken is ready put aside.
2) Make rice add salt to taste and put aside
3) Chop about 5 Onions long n thin slices and deep fry them till nice and golden brown. put aside.
4) Take 3 Potatoes cut them into long pieces and deep fry them until golden brown. put aside.
5) In a bowl take about 3 4 table spoons of yogurt and beat well. put aside.
6) Boil 3 eggs. Cut and out aside.
7) Layering the Biryani:
In a non stick pan put a couple of bay leaves, add melted butter or Ghee at the bottom so the biryani does not stick to the pan. add a generous layer of rice then cooked chicken then sprinkle the fried onions and potatoes then add the yogurt and boiled eggs. Again make a layer of rice on top, sprinkle Fried onions and fried potatoes and boiled eggs.(you can make as many layers as u wish) cover it with a lid. make sure you seal the lid from all sides before putting it on gas/oven to cook all of it together.
8) If your using Gas : medium flame 30 mints
if your using oven : 350*f for 40 mints
